From the workshop of ian:

“As a young Canadian born in the 70s, GI Joe was the only toy that I played with for many years. Funny thing, we had Canadian versions of the file cards “adapted” to have some characters born up North. For instance, on the Canadian file card, Grunt was born in Trois-Rivières, Quebec.

But, to my knowledge, Back-Stop is the only “official” Canadian born character.

Here’s my version of that crazy canuck hockey player.”

From the workshop of ian:

“After Fast Draw, here’s the last of the carded figure of ’87. Sneek Peak was probably the only carded figures from that year that i never played with, he had this huge green periscope tower that was kind of silly carrying around. I tried here to give him a more “mobile” gear with the helmet cam and the drone. The colors are much darker, that light grey and bright red didn’t really worked IMHO.”

From the workshop of ian:

“Totally inspired (copied) from that great custom made by Ceraurus

It’s basically the same parts that he used and almost the same paint applications. I needed a updated version, here’s Spirit.”

From the workshop of ian:

“It’s been a very long time since I posted a new custom… no inspiration and really busy.

But, here’s Vandoos

The Royal 22nd Regiment, in French and officially (in both French and English usage) Royal 22e Régiment and colloquially The VanDoos (an anglicized pronunciation of the word twenty-two, vingt-deux, “22” in French), is an infantry regiment of the Canadian Army. The mostly francophone regiment comprises three Regular Force battalions, two Primary Reserve battalions, and a band, making it the largest regiment in the Canadian Army and the largest francophone regiment in America. From the desk of ian:

“Here’s General Hawk… This custom was not an easy one. I couldn’t decide what look to give him. I finally decided to go with the v2, General Hawk. For me, Hawk was more blond than brownish and I think that this head fits more than Duke.”

Next up from the Syndicated workbench of ian, we get a great custom of Rock ‘N Roll (one of my favorite G.I. Joes). Hit the link below for more, and be sure to let ian know what you think!

“When I start a new custom, I like to have a “project”. I did the SW/Joe cross overs, BF2000, lately i did the Village People force. Being on the OG13 forum it was natural to revisit the original 13 team members. I don’t know how much time it will take to finish but lets start with Rock ‘N Roll.

I went with the v1 look n feel but with touch of an old beach bum 😛

What do you think?”

The Syndicate’s ian showcases his creativity and sense of humor as he takes an off-hand comment from another member and runs with it. Follow the links below to see more!

“It all started when I did a cowboy and a native american. My Syndicate buddy TheVP asks, “are doing the Village People?”… I took that as a challenge.

Here’s the result, The VP Force.”
