“Another WIP that’s been sitting on the shelf for a very long time… I never had a Rock Viper growing up so never had a strong desire to make one when I got into customizing, but when icecreamman and myself hosted the versus contest (told you he has been on the shelf a while) I thought I would make an entry for giggles. Lucky for you guys I’m slow to finish customs, b/c I’m pretty sure I would have won both first, second, and fourth place with my one entry. Kidding of course. But here is my take on him, also a little known fact… When the Rock Viper is off duty, you can watch him try out for American ninja warrior. He has trouble with the spinning log.”

“I love GI Joe and I love transformers, so when I heard about Acid Rain military-ish transforming vehicles I already knew I was in.

A kind of blocky anti-aircraft tank vehicle I guess, would provide some armored cover for the ground forces. The paint apps are excellent as you can feel the texture, has two flip down foot rests on the outside arms for extra troops to stand on, cockpit seats one figure. has a panel that lifts down to put batteries in but I didnt have any of those type of batteries, but apparently it has a pew pew sound.”

As previously announced, TheVP‘s contest to create new extensions for the B.A.T. figure has come to the inevitable voting phase. Please take a minute to look at the entries and vote, vote vote!

OG13 Charities wants to see some new BAT attachments for a possible upcoming project. The attachments need to attach to a 25th/POC style BAT. Take a couple of pictures of it attached and not attached to the BAT and post it in this thread. On March 25th a poll will be added to be voted on by site members on which attachment is the best, it will be open for 3 days. If by chance there is a tie, The charities group will decide in house who the winner is. The winners could be featured in an upcoming charity project.

Prizes:

1st place: $25 Cash via Paypal, Carded FSS Tollbooth and a 30th Zombie Viper, and a cast set of all three winners and if your piece is used in the project, credit on the cardback of the next Charity figure.
2nd place: Cast of each of the winners, $15 cash (Paypal), carded Retailiation Joe Trooper and possible credit on the card if your piece is used.

3rd place: Cast of each of the winners, $5 Cash (Paypal), possible credit on the card if your piece is used.”

“One of my favorite figures from ARAH was Rock N Roll v2. I loved that figure from the 90’s comic book guns to the rifle on the leg. It was awesome! Here is my homage to it. I have the original guns, but decided to go with a SAW instead. I modded a holster to fit a pump action shotgun.”

“Here is a custom Darklon that has been sitting unfinished on my table for a while… I liked the body they used for the Con exclusive, so I stuck with that Firefly cast head. I found the ARAH weapon in my gun box. I am working on an Invader for him, but thought I would go on and post up. Thanks for looking!

The dio stand is from Serpiente Blanca… it’s so awesome that I use it in alot of my pictures now!”

“Hero vs. Villians, Joe vs. Cobra, Autobots vs. Decepticons, Jedi vs. Sith, Acting skills vs. Channing Tatum… Snake Eyes vs. Storm Shadow, Batman vs. The Joker, Optimus Prime vs. Megatron, tom vs jerry, Wolverine vs. well…pretty much anyone in the Marvel Universe. The theme of good vs. evil is not a new one and has been prevalent since the beginning of time.

Icecreamman and myself want to give our fellow OGers the incentive to showcase your view of “The Versus”…how else…by playing with your toys.

This is actually two contests

Both are due by 11:59pm of October 31st, 2013 with public voting following the next couple of days

Both have a cash prize of $40 to the winner and $10 to the runner up.

You can have two entries per contest.

Contest 1: The custom contest

Customize two archenemies and post 3 pictures of them in this thread with a plainish background. Any genre will work as long as they hate each other.

Customs must be a new custom never have being displayed before.

There is no scale limitations…4in, 6 in ,12in, whatever rocks your boat.

Contest 2: The one shot picture contest

We have some sick talent when it comes to photography and editing skills on this site and this is your chance to showcase them

Same as before the subjects have to be arch enemies, any scale, any figure (retail, old customs, new customs, whatever)

The purpose of this contest is the picture. Give it a dio backdrop, photoshop it, do whatever you want just make it look good!

Any questions feel free to ask, we look forward to seeing what you come up with…good luck and have fun!”

“He is a custom I did for The Plague… At first he was going to be Letal, but I have decided to make him an original character named Crater.

Born in south Louisiana, Crater has always had a knack for blowing things up, but was very slow mentally. Always referring to himself in third person, he is brilliant when it comes to explosives, but lacks the focus to stay on point in an actual mission. He was discovered by Zartan and brought into the Dreadnoks, but after blowing up Thrasher’s Thunder Machine twice (the first time was an accident), Zartan brought him to Cobra and had him placed in a Frag Viper unit.

That didn’t work out too well either, as had set an explosive on the modified Hiss that his unit was escorting. He was the only survivor of his unit or the HISS crew. While recovering from his injuries, he met Wireless, a female Tele-Viper, who was injured in battle. Enamored with her, she understood Crater’s deficiencies and decided to use them to her advantage to get placed on the elite Plague Squad. Crater is in constant communication with Wireless via their headsets and she calmly talks him through the mission objectives. The team of Wireless and Crater have proven invaluable to The Plague. Everyone on the team knows if they see Crater running yelling “Crater make BOOM BOOM!” to run for cover.”

“My next Plague member is Blackout. I have always hated the head sculpt on the club and the original figure…it looked eerily similar to the pediatrician I had as a child…lol. I did however love the concept of a named Cobra Sniper that passed all of the Joe tests except the Psyche Evaluation. His brother and sister are Joes. which just adds to the drama.”

Recently, the senior staff members of OG13 found out that a couple of fellow members of OG13 were recovering from some life altering events and we wanted to come up with a way to bring the whole community together to share support for these members (and the community) in general. In addition to the custom auctions, and the two charity raffles, we decided on making an official OG13 Custom Trooper and sell a limited number of these figures to raise money to help ease the burdens our friends have suffered. We hope to continue this venture on a yearly basis, and this year it is all about our members, because without your support, we would never be where we are today! Yo G13!

As of 7/23, we have all 50 of the figures made, but only 6 of the cards/bubbles have been sent. We are waiting on mocJoes to complete the order of the cards.

Pre-orders have been fast and furious, so we have around 24 of the 50 left for sale.

  • 100% of the profits go to 2 OGers in need.
  • We will reveal both, as well as the exact amount of money raised/sent, at the end of this project.
  • We will provide a full list of sponsors, contributors, and participants.
  • The exclusives will be shipped AS the cards are received by mocJOES (theProcess). If you order, expect a wait as the cards are manufactured. If you cannot wait, or are the type to complain about the wait, then true charity might not be your reason for ordering!
  • All figures will be hand numbered, 1/50, 12/50, etc.
