Courtesy of Toy News International:

“Fun Publications, Inc., licensee for Hasbro’s official Transformers Collectors’ Club, is excited to announce their first ever 3 ¾ inch human figure from the Transformers mythos… Marissa Faireborn!

Fans of the Transformers franchise will recognize Marissa as the Earth Defense

Command (EDC) pilot from season 3 of the original Transformers cartoon. What G.I. Joe fans will recognize is the name, “Faireborn”. As Season 3 of the Transformers series took place a couple decades AFTER G.I. Joe, this crossover character was in fact, as intended by Story Editor Flint Dille who worked on both Transformers and G.I Joe, the daughter of G.I. Joe members Flint and Lady Jaye!

In addition to this great action figure offering, Marissa will also be riding in to action with her Autobot ally, Afterburner! Both will be revealed tomorrow on the Transformers Collectors’ Club Facebook page. However, in the meantime we are thrilled to present the art for Marissa Faireborn w/ Afterburner by Robert Q. Atkins and Jesse Wittenrich.

This figure, along with the motorcycle accessory, will be available for order through the Transformers Collectors’ Club early Spring 2015. For more information on the exclusive figure offerings of the TCC, including Lio Convoy, Nova Prime and the TFSS 3.0, please visit Transformersclub.com.”

I just saw that General_Hawk over at yojoe.com posted some interesting news regarding the Transformers Collectors Club crossing over into G.I. Joe territory. Rather than recap, here are the good general’s own words…

“If there are any G.I. Joe fans following Botcon, you no doubt caught the news of the Transformers Collectors Club revealed their line up for their third Transformers Figure Subscription Service.

Nestled within some other familiar characters was none other than Serpent O.R., a character pulled from the Devis’ Due G.I. Joe Vs. Transformers “The Art of War” series! The Serpent O.rganic R.obot is obviously an homage to the classic Serpentor character from the G.I. Joe mythos.

Images from the slideshow have been posted on TFW2005.com and the resemblance to everyone’s favorite Cobra Emperor is immediately evident in the color scheme. Check out the mirrored image below. Pretty cool homage, I have to say!

Make sure you keep your eyes on the exciting Shout! Factory Streaming Event live from Botcon, and all of the Botcon coverage from Figures.com!”

The Hub Network has  announced a new Transformers animated series, set to drop in 2015. With a new Autobot team lead by Bumblebee, we should be able to expect new toys as well to celebrate the brand’s upcoming 30th anniversary.

From their press release earlier:

THE HUB NETWORK ANNOUNCES BRAND NEW TRANSFORMERS SERIES IN PRODUCTION NOW FOR 2015

Will Friedle, Darren Criss and Constance Zimmer to Star in New Animated Series by Hasbro Studios

LOS ANGELES – The Hub Network, champions of family fun and the only network dedicated to providing kids and their families entertainment they can watch together, announced today that a new animated series is currently in production for the globally renowned TRANSFORMERS brand. Set to debut in early 2015, the new action-packed series is being produced by Hasbro Studios, the production and distribution division of Hasbro, Inc., and is executive produced by Jeff Kline (“Transformers Prime,” “G.I. Joe Renegades”).

Taking place years after the battle between Autobots and Decepticons in “Transformers Prime,” this all new series centers around our hero Bumblebee stepping up to lead a brand new team of Autobots. The show features an all-star cast with Will Friedle (“Boy Meets World”) returning as Bumblebee, along with Darren Criss (“Glee”), Constance Zimmer (“House of Cards”) and Ted McGinley (“Married with Children”). Blending 3D characters with hand-painted environments, the series mixes action-packed adventure with lots of comedy, making it a rip-roaring experience for kids and families to enjoy together.”
