From the desk of Robowang:

“Welcome to the first ever Lazy Bastard Custom Contest. A “lazy bastard custom” or “LBC” exists when someone makes a custom figure from mixing and matching figure parts and accessories without any paint or mold alterations – no paint, no markers, no stickers, no cast parts, no carvings, etc.

For example, a Scoop head on a Crimson Guard body gives us Operation: Dragonfire CG Scoop.
The goal of this contest is to inspire ingenuity and creativity by throwing away traditional customization techniques to create original characters using the LBC method. There will be two categories:

Category 1: Serious Figure
Intent is to create an original character that could potentially fit into the G.I.Joe universe. Figure should have a coherent theme and appear as if it *could* have been an official release. Must include a short write-up, bio, or filecard explaining the character.

Category 2: Humorous Figure
Intent is to make me laugh. Mix and match parts to create something absolutely ludicrous (absoludicrous!) or with a coherent but humorous theme.

Rules for creating entries- both categories:

1. Entries MUST use unpainted and unaltered figure parts and accessories.
2. Figures can use parts from vintage, new-sculpt, or modern era. Bonus points for using parts from rare and expensive toys(not really, but is would be hilarious if you used your White Mortal arms or something).
3. Parts and accessories from non-G.I.Joe toylines are acceptable as long as the majority of the figure is G.I.Joe parts (E.G. o-ring style could have a CORPS! torso and head, but use G.I.Joe arms legs and waist, or modern style could use G.I.Joe torso and legs with Marvel Universe head and arms, etc.)
4. Random accessories can be included, but they cannot use paint, marker, glue, tape, etc. to piece things together or change decoration. Keep these in the spirit of the LBC figures. (Glue is acceptable for reassembling modern-style figures.)
5. Submissions that are unnamed and/or have no biography of any sort will sadly not be counted, regardless of awesomeness.

Rules for submission – both categories:

1. Post no more than two photos of your submission along with your bio/filecard in one post of this thread. (If you used a filecard generator or your bio is some other image, that does not count as one of your two photos)
2. You may participate in both categories, but only one entry per category per person.
3. All entries must be posted in this thread by the time I wake up on December 1st, 2013. So basically, post them by the end of November 30th.
4. Be sure to include which category you are entering in the post for your entry!
5. Please include the “recipe” for your figure(s) with each entry.
6. I will judge the entries in the first week of December!
