We are proud and honored to share with you our concept creations, our fan boy visions of “new character additions” (and vehicles too) to the G.I. Joe universe. With this project, we focused on the good guys, the new recruits of G.I. Joe Reloaded Program.
In doing this project, there were many sleepless nights. We even worked on our customs in between real life work, and some of us wrote the bios while in the bathroom just to meet the deadline! We gave plenty of time and effort to this project. We had fun and it was all worth it. The friendship that has been forged among our fellow artists is priceless. Let’s start off DAY 1 with a BANG. Here is one of the industry’s top customizer, MSWI! With his creations, Lockdown and War Eagle!
So I had this idea for a diorama that my Joes and Cobras could be photographed in/on, but the only skills I possess when it comes to building is Popsicle sticks. Luckily that is where CobraOner came in with his incredible talent and artistic ability and created a masterpiece. I came up with a sketch I had in mind of a shoebox size diorama where the street is the top of the box and the bottom part is a sewer. CobraOner was able to take my idea and make it into what you see in front of you. I can’t wait to get this piece in my basement and start setting up some scenes for all of you. Today is a bittersweet day as the custom project created by Oreobuilder, Bucky, and Dusty79 has come to a close. Here is a look at their Catalog and final thoughts. Behold, Syndicate Custom Member Ian’s Custom Despoiler!
Boss Fight Studios are the designers behind many of the Modern G.I. Joe Figures and now they are branching off to create their own line of Highly Articulated Character Kit System. To get started they have created a Kickstarter campaign and need the support of the community to get these awesome figures out into the world. Their first series is based off Greek Mythology.
These seem to be more marketed toward the Custom Builder Community, but can certainly be enjoyed by any collector out there!
The theme for our first assortment of Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. action figures is Greek mythology. We were very excited by the huge scope of these particular mythos. Our plan is to release an initial wave of four figures, plus several exclusives.
A couple of months ago I saw that Alphasnake was looking for someone to help with painting some customs he was building and here is our journey…
It started with his W.I.P.s
They were sent to me with instructions and I got to work, really honing my skills as a painter, especially with the heads and eyes.

This is a very biased opinion, but I feel these customs are the embodiment of great customs that I’ve seen today!

Now I know that this was from yesterday, but I think it’s awesome the way he brought out the design and color of the original figure and gave it a really cool modern look…
Next is Desert Grunt by Porcupunker
I love the combination of parts, especially the pouches on the vest. The head is a great choice and the paint wash gives it a realistic look.
Third is Vega Customs V4 Sgt. Slaughter. I like the blend of color washes and the Sarge looks Jacked and ready to tear some heads off those snakes!

Fierce female action figures that embody the Elements of Courage: Bravery, Energy, Honesty, Industry, Enthusiasm, Persistence & Fear.
IAmElemental Action Figures for Girls were designed to accomplish three goals.
First, they are intended to be a positive and fierce re-interpretation of the traditional female action figure.
Second, IAmElemental action figures encourage girls to reinvent the superhero myth by creating their own empowering stories. In the traditional, male-dominated superhero universe, action figures are endowed with powers from without (via a spider bite, mutant DNA, or some sort of “accident”). In the IAmElemental universe, the girl herself is the superhero – and she has all the superpowers she will ever need already inside of her.
Third, we set out to create a toy that is super fun to play with and collect. We knew from the outset that if the figures weren’t well-designed, nothing else would matter.

BFNE is a Facebook group and they had a trade event today at an amazing comic book store in Sommerville, MA, Comicazi.
I got to represent the OG13 and Mayhem customs andd meet some awesome fellow Joe Collectors along with the guys from Boss Fight Studio who had their upcoming figures on display. It was great time and an awesome experience that I got to share with my 4 year old son, who ended up with a pretty sweet haul for himself. I can’t wait to meet up with these guys again and spend more time talking about GI Joes.
