“These figures are mostly unrelated to anything in particular, just a few I made when starting to work with Joe figures.”

GiJoe071681 (a.k.a. “Numbers”, as he’s known in the Syndicate) continues his Christmas tradition with a deliciously evil take on the characters of Oz…
I wanted to try to go a little darker with my wife’s Christmas present this year. With that here is Oz Revisited.

[CUSTOMS] Tele-Viper (50th), by Viper6
One of my favorite figures from what was my golden years of GI JOE, and as it happens the first custom I ever attempted and while my early work won me some kudos more importantly it gave me the encouragement that propelled me on my current path, so I wanted to do an update to that figure worthy of the else and other filling my shelves. Hope you folks enjoy my take on a classic, I give you my modern Tele-Viper.

[CUSTOMS] ARAH Shockwave (Siege Breaker) by Dark Perceptor
“The Siege Breakers are the GI Joe’s tactical urban infiltration team; composed of men and women who specialize in urban combat using stealth, subterfuge, sabotage, and guerrilla warfare in cities occupied by Cobra’s Dominion Forces.”
“I’ve wanted to do a Shockwave custom for what seems like forever… he has always been one of my favorite figures from the ARAH era. So when I set out to make an urban squad, Shockwave was a must-include… his SWAT background and DEF experience make him an ideal member of the Siege Breakers. For this custom, I started with his original bulky torso and a similar color scheme to Wreckage… but after a “short” break, I decided that he’d look too much like his Nightforce or Convention counterparts and set about to make some changes. I thought the Marauders vest would be ideal for a door-kicker, and so neeeded a slimmer torso to accomodate the vest. AVAC’s torso not only fit the size requirements, but gives the look of an armored BDU, imo. (hey, i’m no expert, lol) Then I decided to go with urban camo, just because I need to do more camo… and I think it turned out alright. There’s one or two tweaks I’d like to go back and do… but for now, it’s on to the next piece. Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoy. “

Custom Legends are back, baby! That’s right, your favorite quarterly Customs Contests have returned after a brief hiatus due to the untimely retiring of this contest’s founder, the unholy Byrnes. Now, ozzie92 has taken the reigns and dedicated the theme of this quarter’s contest, The Masters of Mayhem, to the big man himself!
Based on “About Byrnes” from his profile:
“I enjoy customizing figures from the Sci-Fi world such as Buck Rogers, Star Trek, Star Wars, Bladerunner, Mad Max and so on. Not really a GI Joe expert. Was into the toys when I was a kid in 82 and 83. Got hooked again on the 25th stuff.”
3rd Quarter’s Master of Mayhem contest will be calling for crossovers of Joes into alternate–but established–sci-fi universes and/or alternate–but established–sci-fi characters merging into Joe sub-groups (ex: BATS in Battlestar Galactica…Buck Rogers in Star Brigade).
- ANY size action figure is allowed!
- Each member will be allowed a maximum of 2 submissions per quarterly contest.
- Must be new figure never posted anywhere else and no WIP photos are allowed.
Winner will receive a digital trophy and $25 Credit from Star Wars Geek Custom Supply Store!

[CUSTOMS] Vietnam LRRP Squad, by ozzie92
From the desk of the Ozzman himself…
Finally done! I’ve wanted to do this for years, and have had these WIPs for over a year, looking for the fodder I needed. This LRRP (Long Range Recon Patrol) squad is based on Hama’s Marvel universe and back story, but most closely aligned with the modern penciled take of SE Declassified.
